Check that the printer is not out of ribbon or label stock. If using die-cut labels, check there are no labels missing from the roll. If the light isn’t showing any colour, check the power adaptor, leads, connectors, and mains plug fuse.
The print-head might need cleaning (use Isopropyl Alcohol with a soft, lint-free cloth). Also check you’re using the correct LabelStation power adaptor.
Check if the ribbon is fitted correctly – the shiny side of the ribbon should be facing upwards where it passes under the print head.
If you see random streaks, the print density might be too high. Try decreasing the print density setting or increasing print speed. For faint areas, try increasing print density or reducing print speed.
Check if your label template is set to “Continuous” instead of “Gap”. Also ensure the label guides are adjusted close to the edges of the label material.
If you’re printing in Thermal Transfer mode, make sure you have fitted the ribbon correctly and advanced the leader foil sufficiently to clear the ribbon sensor.
You might be using the wrong driver for your printer model (e.g., using a 200 dpi printer with a 300 dpi driver or vice versa).
Check that the label height in your template matches the physical label height. If in doubt, enter a slightly lower figure. Also check for any damaged or missing labels on the roll.
Press the Feed button – this may clear the fault and resume printing. If this fails, try switching the printer off for a few seconds.
Make sure no object on the label has a boundary box that overlaps the label edges. Also check for any hidden text boxes using the Tab key to cycle through all objects.
